Exhibition: Sustaining Power

Bangladesh, Global, India, Nepal, Pakistan, South Asia

SuPWR is excited to announce several upcoming launch events for our photo exhibition that centres the voices from 16 women’s rights movements across Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Pakistan.

A painting of women in red veils and black veils marching away from the viewer carrying red flags. In front of them is a gold moon on a blue sky with stars.
Artist: Shakila Haider

The exhibition speaks of women’s multi-faceted struggles and successes amid growing anti-gender backlash, and bears witness to the resilience of women’s movements, their expressions of collective joy but also about their struggles and pain.

The exhibitions are open to the public (apart from AWID, which is only open to delegates) and will be showing in the following locations:

Delhi, India

Kathmandu, Nepal

  • Dates: 29-30 November
  • Location: Patan Museum, Patan, Lalitpur
  • Held in partnership with CARE Nepal.

Bangkok, Thailand

Dhaka, Bangladesh

Lahore, Pakistan

Brighton, UK

If you are in any of the exhibition locations, please do come along and have a look!

But don’t worry if you are unable to join us – the exhibition is also available online on the SuPWR website.

We hope to see you there!
